背景
転移を有する大腸癌(mCRC)患者に対する、原発巣切除(primary tumor resection: PTR)は生存への寄与が観察研究で示されてきた。11試験4238例を含む最新の試験レベルのメタ解析では、腫瘍量が少ない切除不能なCRCにおいて、より積極的な化学療法を受ける場合にのみ、一次化学療法の生存率が向上することが示唆されている。
